Support Derivative Works Protest 支持二次創作示威
Legislative council member Chan Kam Lam announced “If you are good enough you should do your own creation, why use other people’s photographs” angered many Internet users particular those who create derivative art works in Hong Kong. Mr. Chan also later proclaimed in 2013 during a museum meeting “Any indecent, obscene, or contain political ingredients, insulting artworks, actually don’t belongs to category of art.” A demonstration in support of derivative/parody art works was launched. My sign is the LHOOQ Mona Lisa with Moustache by Marcel Duchamp created in 1919. Many politicians were ignorant about the development of art history. Demonstrators mad fun of him and his the political party he belong since the protesters found out one of their advertisement campaign copied other… how shameful.
